Bit of Inspiration: Trey Ratcliff - Burning Man

Bit of Inspiration: Trey Ratcliff’s Burning Man Photos

Some of you may know but some may not, that Kitty and I are both avid photographers. Kitty’s focus is on food photography, concert photography and a splash of landscape photography. I, myself tend to focus more on landscape photography, iPhone Photography and really anything that catches my eye. We both find our adventures with photography do a great deal to help inspire our design work. So it should come at no surprise that one of the people we follow is Trey Ratcliff and his amazing photography. However, for this Bit of Inspiration, I wanted to specifically focus on one of Trey’s latest projects: Burning Man.

First let me just say that I find Trey’s photography to be jaw dropping gorgeous. He does a lot of work with HDR photography and you can find out more about that specific work at his web site It is such a fitting name for his site, as he is always traveling somewhere. If you find yourself interested in trying HDR, there is even a free tutorial on his site.

Now back to the specific project I want to share with you. Trey Ratcliff is a force to be reckoned with on Google+. He has taken the new social networking site by storm and has used the tools available to show off just how great his work is and also just how awesome of person he is by sharing what he does. He uses the Google+ Hangout feature on a regular basis connecting with other photographers of all different levels. He also posts specific projects he is working on to Google+ and his most recent one was of his trip to Burning Man.

If you are not really sure what Burning Man is, well I have to admit I still don’t completely understand it. I even went to to see what I could find out but everything I read could only be summed up in one way… You have to experience it! While there is a great post called What is Burning Man? by Molly Steenson, it still leaves some mystery. Which is why what Trey Ratcliff shared on Google+ was so incredible. His series of shots gives you a peak into what goes on but only a peak. The mystery is still there.
